Dying Child - Still from Beatclimate

Neville Powis Ó

If human beings do not act immediately on the issue of global warming and work in complete cooperation to stop the destruction of our environmentally dependent civilization and find a new viable alternative energy source, our lives and our children’s lives will be destroyed!

Contrary to many of the scenarios filtered through the media we are at this moment in time in the first phases of this destruction.

For many decades now, as the carbon emissions in our atmosphere and global warming have relentlessly increased, the human race is experiencing unprecedented heat waves, fires, storms, floods, famines and consequent sudden wars over vital resources.

While this obvious damage is taking place procrastinators are spreading doubt about our ability to solve the problem of global warming. Even worse, the phenomenon of terrorism is diverting attention away from this primary problem through delusional hideous acts.

We believe that it is crucial to raise immediate awareness of the imminent catastrophe of global warming so as to stimulate the voluntary cooperation between the sciences, business and industrial sectors, and civilization itself in order to save ourselves, our children, and our children’s children.

Since the dawn of civilization independent creative genius’s have played an inspirational role in every former human emergency. The present catastrophe of global warming calls on everyone’s full creative capacity to solve this human problem.

Our children are the inheritors of what we now do. And, for the first time in human history, children have the benefit of worldwide communication. They deserve to be able to hear the truth and express their views.

The initial first project, in production now, of artist Michael Bowen and filmmaker, Neville Powis is a video film production called Beatclimate. The purpose of this film is to stimulate worldwide awareness and action in regard to the catastrophic effects of climate change.

Hot Day In France Still from Beatclimate

Michael Bowen Ó

We believe the civilized world contains the solution to this emergency among its independent scientific and artistic minds.

The nature of our planet is one of miraculous beauty which we are privileged, in some mysterious way, to exist upon. This miracle needs to be guarded from foolish energies and minds that do not recognize this miraculous reality and therefore are in the process of destroying it.

It is vital that a massive collective effort to raise our awareness, through all human means possible, is implemented.

The dead unworkable ideas of ongoing short sighted economic strategies have proven to be no longer viable. Therefore it is vital that all circles of independent intellect from government, science and the arts be collectively self mobilized through our efforts of raising awareness of this survival emergency that our civilizations are now facing.

In this world of global instant communication, let us use it to its full potential in order to solve what has been advanced to us as an impossible task.

It is not too late for artists and even politicians to open their own doors of creativity and act now to save our civilizations so that we may all live together rather than die together on our planet.
